Pastor Dale was born in Bellefonte, Pa. He was the youngest of three children. He trusted in Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 16, and felt God’s call to full time pastoral ministry at 17. After graduation from Bald Eagle Area High School, he followed God’s direction to attend Philadelphia College of Bible to prepare for ministry. While there he met Dolores Newton, who would later become his wife. Pastor Carver and Dolores were married, transferred schools to Washington Bible College, and both graduated with a B.A. Degree. Pastor Carver then attended Capital Bible Seminary and graduated with a Master of Theology degree. He was ordained by his local Church, Grace Memorial, in Colmar Manor, Maryland. Pastor Carver and Dolores have served 2 churches over 35 years of pastoral ministry, 9 at Chestnut Grove Bible Church and 26 years at Hagerstown Bible Church. Pastor Carver and Dolores have 7 children and 18 grandchildren.
Pastor of Music and Christian Education
Pastor Jeff grew up in Waynesboro, PA. He trusted in Jesus Christ as His Savior at the age of 6. Raised in the church, the son of a choir director and Sunday school teacher, he was called to full time ministry at the age of 17 while working at a church run camp, Pamadeva in Hanover, PA. Following his graduation from Waynesboro Senior High School, he attended Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA. He graduated from BBC in 1992, with a Bachelor in Sacred Music and Bible. He returned home and began teaching piano at Cumberland Valley School of Music and directing New Dimension, a young adult ministry of Camp Joy-El. During this time, Pastor Jeff met his future wife, Carla. Pastor Jeff was called to Hagerstown Bible church as part-time Worship Leader in January 1996. He was brought on full-time in 1998 to assist in the areas of Christian Education and Senior Ministry. Pastor Jeff and Carla were married in 1996, and now have 4 children.
Youth Pastor and Graphic Designer
Pastor Josh grew up in New Enterprise, PA. He grew up in a loving and supportive family. He started to follow God’s call on his life at 15 at Momentum (BNYC) Youth Conference. He was influenced largely by family and friends, and the experiences that the Lord gave him at Camp Mantowagan (Saxton, PA), and at his home church, Grace Fellowship Church (Leamersville Campus). Josh graduated from Northern Bedford County High School (Loysburg, PA)(2006), and also graduated from Washington Bible College (2010) with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Bible Education and a focus in Sports Ministry. While at WBC, Josh met his wife, Abigail. Josh and Abby have two children, Owen and Quinn, who are constant sources of joy and entertainment. Josh enjoys participating in ministries for all ages, being with family and friends, Target and Sheetz runs, singing, drawing, graphic design, watching sports, and going to the movies. Josh has served at HBC since 2010, and was promoted to Youth Pastor in December 2016.
Bob grew up here in Hagerstown. He was married to his wife, Karen, for 40 years. They enjoyed 3 wonderful children together, Glenda, Betty, and David; and have 6 grandchildren. Bob trusted in Jesus as His Savior in May of 1986, and has involved himself in ministry. He is very heavily involved in our children's and student's ministries through VBS, Camp, and as a promoter of our favorite entertainer, Beautiful Bob (no relation). He enjoys serving others, cooking, sharing Jesus Christ with others, playing golf with friends, fishing, and making people laugh with a good pun.
Joan grew up in Frederick, Maryland, graduating high school there and being a very active member of the local YMCA. She met her husband in 1974 at the Washington DC Greyhound Bus station on his birthday when he was a Navy petty officer traveling home from his 6-month cruise and she was a secretary commuting by bus to Frederick. They married in February 1975 and have 1 daughter, Niki , and 3 grandchildren, Jaina, Margaret and Emmanuel. Joan trusted in Jesus the day before her 16th birthday after being given a tract from a friend. Joan answered God's call to serve in 1983, and is now involved with several children's ministries. She enjoys primitive tent camping, cooking, reading, and chasing after her very fast grandchildren.
